The Department for Shipping Proceedings of the Directorate of High Priority Affairs at the National Transport Authority as authority of first instance acts with national competence for water transport administrative affairs refferred into its jurisdiction by the law.

Our task in general is to ensure with administrative means the safety, lawful and professsional participation in water transport of the persons, facilities (ships and servicing equipments, buildups, markings thereof), organization, companies acting there as well as water areas serving for water transport (track), briefly the establishement and maintenance of shipping's safety guarantees.

Directorate of High Priority Affairs at the National Transport Authority morever acts with a national competence.within which the Department for Shipping Proceedings is responsible for all authorizational tasks regarding shipping proceedings. The Department for Shipping Proceedings mainly deals with authorizational tasks of big shipping, but licensing proceedings of major facilities, shipping activies, limitation of shipping are also handled there as well as registration of all floating facitilies (ship registration number), placement into service (issuing of documents), moreover technical surveys of big ships, work machines.
